College Town Administration Intern

Position: College Town Administration Intern
Reports to:  Director and Assistant Director of College Town Spartanburg
Location:  Spartanburg, SC
Term: Fall 2026 (exact dates are flexible)

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Work with the OneSpartanburg, Inc.’s College Town Spartanburg team to support the administration and implementation of new consortium initiatives. This intern will play a key operational role, helping ensure new and existing programs run smoothly across multiple institutions. Namely, the implementation of meetings and events, expanding the brand awareness of College Town, building relationships with stakeholder groups, and planning for future strategies to grow Spartanburg’s town and gown activities. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Be an Ambassador. Serve as an ambassador to College Town Spartanburg institutions and students. Engage stakeholders for the advancement of College Town initiatives.
  • Work Based Learning Metrics. Assist in the roll out of WBL branding and advocate for the expansion and scale of OneSpartanburg, Inc.’s WBL initiative.
  • Support Administration Tasks. Support day-to-day administration of existing and new College Town initiatives. Preparing materials and notes. Communicating accordingly to all involved parties.
  • Logistics and Preparation. Assist with scheduling, coordination, and preparation for College Town meetings, events, and planning sessions. Contribute to on-site logistics for events, programs, and activities
  • Thought Leadership. Offer creative input and help shape the direction of College Town Spartanburg appropriate to college students and contributing to the goals of College Town. Consult peers in focus groups to inform decision making.
  • Storytelling. Collaborate with staff to develop a summary report and metrics through graphics, narratives, and/or presentations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS Our ideal candidate

  • Current Spartanburg College Student
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated passion for stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms

     

COMPENSATION

Our interns work between 10-15 hours per week, at a rate of $15 per hour minus taxes. Interns can expect to complete about 120 hours over the course of the internship.
